Scooby, Shaggy and Scrappy have one measly bean to eat for dinner. However they accidently leave it in the rain. It turns (surprise surprise) into a huge beanstalk. When they drive up the beanstalk they find a selfish giant (surprise again). The giant is demanding a little bird to make him laugh. When Scrappy decides he won't put up with this bullying, the trio find themselves against the giant.
There is definitely enough here for Scooby fans to enjoy. Our main trio is in fine form here. The Doo Brothers comedy act certainly put a smile on my face. In fact most of their plans to avoid the giant do. Scrappy's need to help out the little bird certain helps make him especially likable here. On the other hand The giant is a rather bland villain with little to make him feel either funny or threatening. Also with so many Jack and the Beanstalk cartoons out there, there is little done with this premise that cartoon fans haven't seen many times before.
