Say Ahoy to "Gulliver's Travels" (1939)

I admit to having a huge fondness for the Fleischer Brothers' animated feature length Gulliver's Travels. It may be a faulted movie but what is good about it is really good. Sadly it still remains quite an underrated movie. It is not known by the majority of people and those that do know it seem to write it off as a lesser movie that can't hold a candle to Disney's classic animated features. Comparing this to a film like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) is pointless because Gulliver's Travels is a good movie in its own right. For those of you who like me have a fondness for this movie, I have a treat for you. This is a 1939 article in Hollywood magazine that speaks about this "upcoming" film.

I find it interesting to see Max talking about how much he loved the original book and state that they weren't out to change Swift's story, considering how little this movie actually resembles the book.
