This is a very hard post to write. Though I have never actually met Loretta, her passing feels like losing a close friend. Her music has meant a lot to me. It is something that has always been there for me and felt near and dear to my heart. You can tell that she poured her heart into every single song and listening to her music gives one the feeling of knowing her personally. Her music was so direct and personal that many country music fans thought of her as a personal friend even if they never actually met her. Though country music has had a lot of greats over the years few of them would ever mean as much to their fans as Loretta Lynn. For anyone who truly loves country music this is a hard day.
